Boston’s Seaport District continues to expand its lineup of dynamic gathering spots with the arrival of Five Iron Golf, now open on Summer Street just a few minutes’ walk from the Thomas M. Menino Exhibition & Convention Center (MCEC). Blending advanced golf simulation technology with a lively food and drink scene plus space for off-site functions, Five Iron has something for everyone!
Golf Simulators: Play, Practice, and Friendly Competition
Five Iron’s golf simulators recreate the feel of a real golf club by capturing every detail of a player’s swing with high-speed swing cameras, projecting it onto one of more than 200+ world-class virtual golf courses from Pebble Beach to St. Andrews.
Simulators are flexible and can be used in different ways depending on each goal. Golfers can experience a round on legendary courses around the world without leaving Boston, hone skills in a data-driven training mode to analyze and refine their swing, or face off for fun with interactive games that turn golf into a social outing.
No experience is required, as the simulators are designed to make the game enjoyable for beginners or casual players as well. When groups have players with a mix of golfing skill levels, competition is balanced by mixing modes of play and choosing different formats, which allow everyone to contribute regardless of ability.
Food and Drinks
What makes Five Iron more than just a place to play is its sips and snacks. Five Iron offers a variety of flavors ranging from craft cocktails to local brews, pizza, wings, tacos, sandwiches, and more, with promotions every day.
Off-Site Function Spaces
Five Iron makes hosting off-site functions seamless, with two floors each accommodating up to 150 guests as well as a patio area on the lower floor with 30 seats. Planners can choose from semi-private packages (which can include clusters of simulator bays and premium spaces) or full venue buyouts, which include reserved simulators, a simulator demonstration, free club rentals, and a dedicated staff member.
For dining, Five Iron offers customizable, locally inspired catering menus and beverage packages.
Five Iron does more than just golf for private events. A new, multi-sport expansion allows players to use the simulators for other games such as soccer, hockey, dodgeball, and more. Duckpin bowling lanes, tech-enabled dart bays, and a putting green are also available to reserve.
