The 180-room extended stay [Element Hotel](http://www.starwoodhotels.com/element/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=4143&language=en_US) on D Street and 330-room [Aloft Hotel](http://www.starwoodhotels.com/alofthotels/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=4142&language=en_US) open on January 14 and February 4, respectively. The Element will begin booking reservations on January 21, and the Aloft will begin booking reservations February 11. These two new Starwood hotels will provide a lower‐priced alternative to the existing hotels near the BCEC. “These hotels will provide much‐needed mid‐priced hotel rooms not only to the South Boston Waterfront but to Boston as a whole,” said James Rooney, former MCCA Executive Director, at the ground-breaking ceremony in December 2013. The Aloft Boston Seaport offers amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a 24/7 grab and go bistro, fitness center, an indoor pool, an outdoor “backyard” area to relax and mingle, and more. The Element Boston Seaport offers accommodations for a few days or even a few weeks. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, 24/7 pantry, fitness center, indoor all natural saline pool, free Wi-Fi, kitchenettes in every room, and more.
