This week, the Omni Boston Seaport Hotel officially broke ground and kicked off a major construction project that is scheduled to last two years. The new hotel will be located across the street from the BCEC and will be connected to the convention center by a climate-controlled, underground walkway for maximum convenience.
Hotel highlights:
- 1,055 finely appointed guest rooms inclusive of 52 suites
- Two towers; 21 floors
- Project will attain a LEED Silver certification level
- Approximately 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting, event, and prefunction space with direct, conditioned access to the BCEC
- The largest hotel ballroom in the city of Boston
- Fourth largest hotel in the city of Boston
- Multiple food and beverage options include an all-day restaurant and collaborative workspace, lobby lounge, a multi-sensory entertainment lounge, French brasserie and boulangerie, and elevated pool bar and grill
Meeting space highlights:
- Grand Ballroom: >25,000 square feet
- Junior Ballroom: Approximately 17,000 square feet
- Breakout rooms: Approximately 19,000 square feet
- Pool deck: 7,500 square feet of outdoor pool deck connected to a 4,500 square foot climate-controlled bar with operable partitions that can be full enclosed or opened up to view the Boston skyline
- Prefunction space: 37,000 square feet of glass-lined indoor space and 3,000 square feet of outdoor space
