Another eventful year has almost come to an end, so we wanted to take the time to reflect on some of the most interesting news and developments that we covered on the Signature Boston blog in 2019. Today’s post is a collection of the ten most popular stories that were published on the blog in the last twelve months, sorted by popularity.

1. A Big year for Boston Hotel Development
   In this article from December 2018, we outlined Boston’s biggest hotel news of the year and listed all the announced new developments planned for 2019 and beyond.
2. Skip the Security Line When You Ride the Back Bay Logan Express
   This post highlighted several important changes to Massport’s Back Bay Logan Express, the shuttle bus that travels directly between Boston Logan International Airport and the Hynes Convention Center.
3. Major Improvements are coming to Boston Logan Airport
   This article discussed a series of renovations and improvements at Logan Airport. As of today, some of them are already underway or completed, and others are expected to be finished within the next five to ten years.
4. Rochambeau to Open Next to the Hynes
   In this blog, we teased the opening of Rochambeau, a new French café and restaurant attached to the Hynes Convention Center in the Back Bay, replacing Towne Stove & Spirits. Rochambeau has been open for several months and was even one of the finalists in Boston’s 2019 Eater Awards in the Design of the Year category. Rochambeau’s menu features a variety of options for brunch, lunch, dinner, and more.
5. Convention Industry Veteran Diane DiAntonio is the New General Manager of the BCEC and the Hynes
   In August, we covered Diane DiAntonio’s promotion to the position of General Manager after nearly twenty years with the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA).
6. New Perk for nursing moms at the BCEC & Hynes
   In April, we announced a new addition to the BCEC and Hynes: Mamava Nursing Pods. They are free-standing private lactation suites for new mothers that can be used by employees, visitors, and event attendees at our convention centers (accessible via mobile app).
7. Boston’s Hotel Building Boom Continues
   In October, we released our annual recap of Boston’s most prominent hotel news from 2019.
8. Eat. Play. Love at PAX East 2019
   In this blog post, we took you on a tour with BCEC’s Executive Chef, Kaeo Yuen to discover all the crazy culinary creations that our food & beverage team puts together for one of our largest events, PAX East.
9. BCEC is Getting New Neighbors
   This blog post showcased a selection of new additions and developments in the South Boston Waterfront District as of February 2019. That part of Boston changes constantly, so we’re already working on part two - stay tuned!
10. MCCA to Hold Full Scale Active Shooter Exercise at BCEC
    The MCCA and its partner Public Safety agencies worked collaboratively over the past two years to design and develop a comprehensive Active Shooter Joint Response Plan (ASJRP) for the BCEC, Operation Vanguard, which was prominently featured in this blog post from March 2019.
