Another Hotel to Open Near BCEC in 2017

YOTEL, an international affordable hotel chain, will open in the South Boston Waterfront District in Summer 2017, its first hotel in New England.

YOTEL Boston will be one of five U.S. YOTEL destinations. In addition to its successful flagship city-center location in New York, additional U.S. cities opening in the next few years include Miami, Brooklyn, and San Francisco.

The 11-story YOTEL Boston will boast 325 cabins, extensive public spaces, multiple food and beverage venues, and an expansive indoor-outdoor roof terrace. YOTEL is known for its small rooms reminiscent of “luxury airline travel”, which they refer to as “cabins”. With smaller, smart spaces, YOTEL Boston’s Premium cabins will be furnished with YOTEL’s signature adjustable SmartBed™ with luxury bedding, monsoon rain showers, adjustable mood lighting, and a techno-wall with smart TVs (that can be connected to guests’ own devices). The hotel will also feature airline style self-service check-in via its Mission Control (their futuristic 24/7 version of a traditional hotel front desk).

YOTEL Boston will be located across the street from One Seaport Square and easy, direct access to the MBTA Silver Line (which goes to both South Station and Logan Airport). The hotel also offers close proximity to major highways, is less than 10 minutes by taxi from Logan Airport, and is easy walking distance to the BCEC. Its location in the South Boston Waterfront District puts it in the heart of Boston’s innovation district and right near the Boston Harbor and the city’s cultural, financial, and commercial center.
