The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) announced the hiring of Yuisa Pérez as Chief People Officer, effective May 22, 2024. With over 20 years of experience as a passionate human resources leader, K-12 educator, and champion for creating vibrant spaces for all communities to realize their natural talent, Yuisa will lead the MCCA in fostering a welcoming and inclusive culture for MCCA employees, its contract partners, and the hundreds of thousands of guests that visit its facilities annually.
“Yuisa is an inspirational leader with a wealth of experience, and I look forward to introducing her to MCCA staff and our stakeholder community,” said Gloria Larson, Interim Executive Director of the MCCA. “I am confident that Yuisa will have a positive and lasting impact on the MCCA’s culture and workplace, as we position ourselves as industry leaders in providing customer service excellence to our clients and visitors alike.”
Yuisa most recently served as the Chief People Officer at the Museum of Science, Boston, where she helped the Museum build an innovative, inclusive, and high-performing culture while also collaborating with the Museum's staff-lead Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion committee to continue to foster equity and diversity strategies across the organization.
Prior to joining the Museum of Science, Yuisa served as Senior Director of Human Resources at Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc., leading the human resources department for a federally qualified community health center. She also has a strong background in education with public schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts, where she dedicated herself to creating connections between the school, families, and the community.
“I am excited for this opportunity to join the MCCA,” said Pérez. “I look forward to engaging with employees and stakeholders in the coming months and finding ways we can strengthen workplace culture and participation, while providing a memorable experience for our clients.”
