Renovations at the Kimpton Nine Zero

This spring, the Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel unveiled a $12 million renovation. Located on Tremont Street near the Boston Common - at the crossroads of Beacon Hill, the Theater District, Downtown Crossing, and the Financial District–the 190-room boutique hotel’s renovations blend history and contemporary design.

Noted as “accessible luxury”, Kimpton Nine Zero refurbished their guestrooms to include new, custom leather headboards, an Eames chair, and Boston-minded artwork. The 1,065-square-foot penthouse suite features a headboard scripted with love letters between John and Abigail Adams, plus a vintage billiards table, record player, telescope to peer out at the Common, Boston Public Garden, and the Charles River, and a wet bar and dining area.

The hotel’s 2,400-square-foot private meeting and event space overlooks Tremont Street and the Granary Burying Ground. It features a foyer and three meeting spaces–for 10 to 150 people–named after influential Boston leaders Oliver Wendell Holmes, Henry Brooks Adams, and Samuel Adams.

This fall Kimpton Nine Zero will also debut their new Better Sorts Social Club, replacing their existing Highball Lounge. Better Sorts Social Club will be a “glamorous cocktail-forward concept”.

Additional guest amenities include a brand new in-house historian to provide additional history information to guests about the city of Boston, a fleet of complimentary custom Public bikes, and a fitness center.

The Kimpton Nine Zero is equidistant (approximately 1.7 miles) from both the BCEC and the Hynes and easily accessible by public transportation, offering convention attendees a unique lodging experience in the heart of the city.
