The Lawn On D Powered by Citizens is Back for Season 8!

Last week brought a wave of excitement over Boston as The Lawn On D opened its doors for an eighth season.

This season there are several big changes compared to last year. The Lawn’s famous swings and lawn games are back, along with live music on weekends. Table reservations are no longer required, and visitors can order food and/or drinks directly from the bar.

While the venue reopened on May 20 with COVID-19 regulations and capacity restrictions, starting this Saturday, May 29, even more people will be able to enjoy the classic, pre-pandemic Lawn On D experience as all capacity limits will be lifted.

“The excitement is palpable with the opening of The Lawn On D as people can’t wait to get out, have fun and reconnect with friends and family at Boston’s iconic outdoor space,” said David Gibbons. “The Lawn On D has always been an oasis to escape from the daily grind, and after grinding for the last fourteen months visitors from across the city and beyond are telling us they can’t wait to cut loose.”

Citizens returned as The Lawn On D’s title sponsor for the 2021 season and it will again feature its “Bankers on D” brand ambassadors who will continue to provide valuable information for all who visit. Bankers On D are eager to return to The Lawn and will also continue to host the competitive Friday Corn Hole Tournaments.

“Over the last six years we have been so excited to be part of so many exciting events and activities that have brought our community together,” said Jerry Sargent, President of Citizens Massachusetts. “As the city awakens and folks begin to embark outside, this is the perfect place to safely gather with friends and family; and enjoy all the amenities The Lawn has to offer.”

See how Boston reacted to the happy news:

The Lawn On D is available to book for various kinds of private functions, as well as an extension to your BCEC event. Dates are available for 2021: email to get started.
