Boston is a prime city for event planners. The city attracts a diverse range of meetings and conventions year-round. Upcoming new airlift options will implement a smoother and even more enjoyable travel experience to Boston.
JetBlue Goes Non-Stop to Dublin and Paris
Boston is one of the closest major cities to Europe. JetBlue will be offering non-stop flights from Boston to Dublin this month and nonstop from Boston to Paris beginning in April. Boston serves as a hub for JetBlue, and the airline continues to expand its flight options from Boston. This highly anticipated new service with JetBlue will be operating daily.
Lufthansa Group Opens Service to Vienna
Lufthansa Group, which includes Lufthansa, Swiss, and Austrian Airlines, has also taken the initiative to invest in Boston. The group is introducing Austrian Airlines Boston, bringing the first nonstop flight to Vienna, Austria from Boston’s Logan Airport. The round-trip service starts July 1 and will operate year-round service with a Boeing 767-300 seating 211 passengers and will arrive at and depart from the newly expanded Terminal E.
In the past 12 months, nearly 28,000 passengers traveled between Boston and Vienna. Austrian Airlines’ new flight will operate six times a week, Monday-Sunday, excluding Thursday. During the winter season, it will operate three times a week. The service plans to depart Boston at 5:10 pm Eastern Time and arrive at 7:25 am in Vienna the next day.
“Bostonians will soon be able to experience Austrian’s premium onboard products, high-end culinary options, and the warm, friendly hospitality for which Austria is known,” said Dirk Kanzen, Vice President of Passenger Sales.
Boston’s accessibility makes it an ideal destination for hosting a wide array of events. The BCEC and the Hynes are both within close proximity of Logan Airport and a diverse range of airlift options add to Boston’s appeal to meeting planners. As Boston continues to innovate and expand its airlift offerings there will be even greater accessibility and convenience for visitors to the city.
Flying to Boston is a Breeze, International or Domestic
According to Massport, Logan Airport totaled 197,609 inbound flights in 2023. That number is predicted to increase this year with the launch of additional nonstop flights. These 2024 Route maps show service direct service to Boston for both International and Domestic flights. Currently, Boston offers direct service to 59 International and 82 Domestic destinations.
